Pre-Order Program FAQ

Q: How does the Squadron Pre-Order Program work?
A: We pre-build the entire Aircraft Maintenance Badge award (wood backing, faceplate, and standoffs), with your unit’s specific details ready to engrave. 
When decision day comes and your winners are decided, you just send their Rank and Name. We engrave the names onto your reserved plates and ship them out within 1–2 business days, ready to present. 

Q: Why should our squadron pre-order instead of waiting for award announcements?
A: Standard custom creation takes up to 2-3 weeks, which usually leaves units scrambling right before the ceremony. Pre-ordering ensures your award bases are completely built and sitting on our shelf. You avoid rush fees, eliminate last-minute stress, and guarantee that your maintainers get their awards on presentation day.

Q: What information is already locked in during the pre-order?
A: When you place a unit pre-order, you give us your standard template details:

• Award Category (e.g., NCO of the Quarter, SNCO of the Year)
• Award Period (e.g., 1 Jul - 30 Sep 2026)
• Unit / Squadron (e.g., 123 Aircraft Maintenance Squadron)
• Base Location (e.g., Random AFB, YZ)

Q: What do we need to send you once the winners are picked?
A: Literally just two things per award: Rank & Name (e.g., SSgt Al Dente).

Q: Is there a minimum order for pre-orders? 
A: No minimums!

Q: Can we pay using a Government Purchase Card (GPC)?
A: Absolutely. We accept GPC cards and can provide itemized quotes and invoices. Contact us directly to for a copy of the Form 889 or for tax exemptions.
